<P align=left><FONT ><B>《Windflowers》是一首古老的外国歌谣。原唱是Seals 和 Crofts。
这是一首取材自希腊神话爱神维纳斯的故事。维纳斯一直爱慕山中打猎的美少年，然而少年却在一次与野兽撕斗的过程中丧失了性命。维纳斯为此天天以泪洗面，甚至双眼流出了血。泣血滴落在花瓣上，随风飘散。
这首由Seals 和 Crofts演绎的歌曲，前面的那段独白，感人异常。开头的那段音乐也非常之吸引人。一位父亲以过来人的身份，试图告诉儿子爱情虽然甜美却易逝去。
这么美的一首歌，当时在美国却未做为专辑的主打歌，甚至演唱的这对二重唱在后来推出的精选辑中，都没有收录这首歌进去，可见东西方的音乐口味的确有相当大的差异。
国内许多西洋歌本将这首歌名翻译成"风信子"，那是不对的。风信子是一种多肉植物，适合生长在温带或高冷地区，不可能像歌中描述的生长在沙漠中。部分英汉字典里，对windflower的解释为"秋牡丹"、"白头翁"，都是某种花的名称。</B></FONT></P></TD></TR></TABLE>
