乐业县高山原始映山红又名杜鹃花，分布于乐业西北部海拔1500米以上的五台山上，面积上万亩，呈灌木至小乔木状，高2-5米，以丛状居多，每丛15-30支。五台山距县城16公里，总面积5.6 万亩，地处亚热带季风气候区，雨量充沛，最高海拔1657.6米，属原始森林区，人迹罕至，云雾缭绕，绿红相映，奇花争艳，异草斗翠，鸟语花香，吸引了众多野生动物在此繁衍生息。<BR><BR><BR>
